This website offers information on the retreats and trips I organise in Egypt.
From 2017 onward, I have visited Egypt several times a year and I have found it to be an excellent place for a spiritual retreat. The workshops I offer combine well with the inspiring energy of the ancient temples and tombs we visit. Moreover, Egypt nourishes us on a very down to earth level too: you can count on delicious fresh food, guaranteed sunshine and heart warming hospitality.
Egypt is sometimes lovingly called “mother of the world” – Masr om el donya
The creation myths of ancient time tell us that our material reality has ultimately been born from mysterious waters, which are similar to a mother’s womb. Egypt is surely a gateway to the primordial, the eternal and the sacred. Bathing in golden sunlight, offering majestic temples, vast desert landscapes and fields of green around the perennial river Nile, she invites us to reflect on life and celebrate it as well.
Breathing in Egypt
Land of extremes
High culture, wisdom, beauty –
poverty, blood, toil, tears
Empty desert –
crowded cities
Eyes, open, enticing, full of life –
Scarfs, veils, smiles hiding unspoken pain
Temples, pyramids reaching up to heaven-
Dust, dirt, filthy streets
Breathing in Egypt
Melancholy voices repeat age old prayers
In shops and on streets where children still play with full abandon
Your extremes cut through the heart
Carrying traces of what lies beyond
You bless me
With a touch of eternity
And the perfume of Life
